Strengths/Special Abilities: Being a Trance Medium Blair has the ability to let a spirit speak through her consciousness. This ability makes Blair's manner of speech change to the spirits voice. In order to do this she has to be in a deep trance that she controls...The spirit cannot control her movements and when a ghost tries to invade her body she can deny them and force them out. When they aren't speaking through Blair she can hear them and see them.
In her time in the Army they taught her two things, how to shoot a weapon and self defense. Her aim is great sometimes she misses but that is a rare thing. Blair rather wait and get a hit than rush through it and miss. Her self defense moves are taught by certified trainers from diffferent levels.
Weaknesses: PTSD (War scars you), Whiskey, and her hunting experience.
Personality (At least 2 paragraphs):
Blair is still searching inside herself for who she truly is. She has a Texan sass that is as big as the Lone Star state. Her jokes will pick you up when you are in a glum. Her talks are filled with sarcastic humor which will either make you laugh or make you mad. She looks is the typical girl next door, but you should never judge someone on their cover.. No one would ever know her ability to speak with the dead. She is very kind hearted and gentle to those who give her a good vibe. Blair is consistently doing nice things to fill the void in her heart her real parents left behind...
However if you rub her the wrong way she can be feisty, cocky and sarcastic to those that push her buttons. Although she appears happy sometimes she is not in the pit of her heart there is a sadness that will always be there but she will force on a smile and be cheery for everyone. This huntress is a really bad liar since because she hates being manipulative to people. Her secrets stay hidden lock away from anyone. If you find your way into her heart you are the slim few. Her moral code is a necessity to follow which means going to mass every week.
Blair is not an undecisive woman, she knows what she wants. There is no dancing back and forth on a decision. Once something is decided it stays that way. If you mean something to this woman she will do anything to keep you shielded from harm. It’s wired in her to protect those next to her. To the bottom of her core this huntress hates lying. It is something she prefers not to do at all. If you are by her side, she’ll stick by you till the end. There are no sneaky ways out only her being true to you.
When she is getting rid of dark spirits she is aggressive, cunning and brutal. Her time dealing with spirits taught her to keep her Sh*t together. If you were not together in the army back then they would pick you out and get rid of you fast. Under pressure Blair is very calm and unwavering. It is better to face a situation with a level head than lash out in anger. If there is anything about this woman, it’s that she is strong. She made it through hell and back and survived.
Family and Contacts...
"I realize that the only way we've made it through all this is by hanging together."

Character History...
"I was gonna say you look like you'd seen a ghost, but you'd probably be stoked."
Blair's estimated birthday is February 14th, 1988. She was a few days old when her parents abandoned her in the woods near a Catholic Church in San Antonio. By chance Mother Abbess Carol heard her crying and raised Blair in the nunnery. At age five, Mother Abbess noticed her powers of medium ship. Even since then she has worked with her on how to control them . Mother Abbess tried her best to help Blair control her gift. The other sisters would teach her how to sing gospel and how to play the organ.Blair excelled at her schoolwork which was taught from the church.
Over a period of time they taught her the ways of exorcising demons. The head Priest and Mother Abbess taught her the ways to get rid of evil spirits. They were both experts in the field and felt it would help her control the ghosts pestering her. The training did help her for little while until her medium ship grew. It made Blair have a tough time to adjust with dealing with other people. This made her draw closer to Mother and the nun really watched over her. Her Mother has the knack to watch over the less fortunate and the homeless. Eventually the church approved her for building an orphanage. It was one that was up to date and be able to house more kids.
Blair was older, so she was less desirable in the eyes of someone looking for a child. Something at the store caught her eye, an Army Recuitor. It was really fascinating to her and It became a goal. It was something that Mother Abbess would not agree with. The medium teen knew that her Mother wanted her to train to fight evil. Her abilities grew in her teens, it was strange for a teenage girl to be dealing with the dead.
However, she never let her eye off the the Army and would consistency talk about it. It wasn’t until her 17th birthday that she voiced her serious intent on joining the Army. After days of not eating Mother Abbess agreed and before her 18th birthday she joined. Her MOS was going to be a 88M. A couple weeks after her graduation, Blair was shipped out to Fort Leonard Wood. She spent 17 weeks struggling to become the perfect soldier. Her OSUT graduation was one of her greatest achievements. Her first duty station was Ft. Drum in New York state. The day to day training there was rigorist. She had to endure a lot of ruck marches.
A couple months later her unit was activated for deployment. Her first tour was hell. Convoys were attacked often and a lot of her friends died. But she held it together and decided not to renew her contract. Being deployed, made it difficult to be around the dead. The fallen would still linger around until they were brought back home. It was a couple weeks before her unit was supposed to return home. On a supply mission her truck was hit by a RPG. Blair and her TC were wounded. Thankfully her buddies were able to stop the bleeding from the shrapnel in her leg. She spent a few weeks in a medical facility before returning to Fort Drum.
Eventually she went back to the civilian life. Blair was twenty-one years old and a veteran, it sounded weird to her. On her journey back home her stop in Shreveport, LA landed her across a interesting character. His name was Alexander and he was obviously a hunter . Blair accidentality caught him chopping a vampires head off. It was quite awkward but she promised him to keep her mouth shut. Blair knew what he was because some had came to the church before. She made it out of their quick she didn't know him and certainly was not going to stick around for formalities.
Mother Abbess was excited to have Blair back. Her Mother wanted her to look at a couple cases of hauntings and demons. It had been awhile but she immersed herself slowly back in. The last few years were crazy and she needed time to adjust . Until she was really comfortable with herself she started to interact with the other children. It was comforting to be around innocent children that weren't stained by life. There were a few who had a terrible beginning. Those children are the ones she spends the most time with. Blair and the select few were learning to love life again.
Once she was convinced she was okay Mother Abbess let her handle some local cases. They were more like practice, each case got harder. The months past by and Mother Abbess gave her harder cases. Blair loved the quiet, it was peaceful to be alone. If she could see the future, she probably wouldn't have taken the Louisiana case. In her investigation, she ran into Alexander again. He wasn't sure that she was a real deal medium. When Blair proved him wrong, that look on his face was priceless. Alexander was surprisingly polite not the rough jerks that she had seen. After the spirit was gone they exchanged numbers. If the hunter had any questions, Blair would give him her expertise.
They grew to trust each other over the next year. Alexander taught her some hunting tricks and Blair taught him something about spirits. Each hunt, they would exchange something about their past. Six months before he was last seen alive, something happened between them. A hunt got Blair seriously hurt and her mentor was freaked out about it. It really brought out a different side to him. He was sweeter and It freaked out Blair at first. It worried her because hunting was no place for feelings. They both ignored what they knew was going to be a tragic ending. Six months later, Blair went to Alexander's cabin but only found a lot of blood and his body not in site. A wall in the cabin had research on vampires nest . It migrated quite often to avoid detection.
All the evidence was taken down and so she could research it further. Blair did spent the next months searching for Alexander but the trail went cold. He knew she was looking for him and didn't want to be found. Now at 25, her days are now filled with hunting . The rest are for little kids in the orphanage.

It had been a rough day for the little medium...scores of people came through her shop wanting to know answers only their dead loved ones could answer. Now the normal medium reading was easy but a trance medium read was double the exhaustion. Her energy was at a all time low and the only thing keeping her awake was coffee. Though that wouldn't keep her awake for long. All she needed to do was one last contact.
A civil war ghost wanted to let his ancestors know he hide away heirlooms in the family house. Last time she tried to accept him in her body another ghost tried to sneak in. That was a big no no in her list of rules, if you wanted her help you must be patient. Blair didn't know if that spirit had tried to contact her before it all got fuzzy and mixed up in her head. That's why at all times she kept a digital recorder with her or at night a video camcorder. Sometimes in her sleep a ghost would visit and ask for help....in her sleep daze she would accept and leave a message on the camcorder.
Every single contact Blair has she kept in the basement of her business. The most important ones where in the storage room on the main floor. Before every contact in her business Blair lit a bunch of candles and turned on some tunes to soothe her soul. She needed to be relaxed in order to make contact....After the candles were lit and the tunes of the ocean went on Blair sat Indian style on a rug facing two chairs....
Her breathes were calm and calculated and she hummed lightly....it would looked sorta like she was mediating. A deep gasp caused her head to tilt back...that's when the spirit of the civil war soldier entered her mind...and took over. She let the old ghost speak his peace into the camera...before he went back to the great beyond. In this state sounds were not audible to Blair only human contact can snap her out of the trance state. That's why the medium did not hear who was about to come through the door.
