First Things First...
"We both know where this ends. One of us dies."
DANIEL
The Basics...
"Whatever you decide, decide. Both feet in or both feet out."
Name: Daniel [Vessel’s Name is also Daniel]
Nicknames: The Watcher
Gender: The Vessel is Male
Age/DOB: Well over 1000 years old [Vessel is just about 31]
Occupation: Before the fall it was to watch over Earth and protect humanity from wayward brothers that would seek to do harm or from getting to close and creating Nephilim
Member Group: Fallen Angels
Playby: Tom Hiddleston
In Depth...
"It's not about fault. It's about will."
Likes: The idea of his brothers being confined to Earth, Castiel’s crusades to right heaven no matter the cost, watching humanity and protecting it from his brother’s wrath, any friend of the angel is a friend of Daniel’s.
Dislikes: Fellow angels that feel like humanity is just a toy, any being that mistreats humanity, demons for the obvious reasons, Nephilim, any being that that would want to bring harm to Castiel.
Dreams: To see his brothers realize their true purpose while on Earth and to collectively work to right the wrongs that have been done to others in God’s name while also working to get back to their home. He also believes that Castiel should be the one to lead them.
Strengths/Special Abilities: The fall from heaven has left Daniel weakened, but not without powers. The only power he is completely lacking is the ability to teleport anywhere at will, since he no longer has wings he has to rely on human forms of transportation now. He retains the powers of an average soldier angel [super human strength, the ability to exorcise and expel demons, the ability to go unseen, the ability to go into the dreams of a human, the ability to see creatures that could otherwise be unseen by humanity], as well as his own brand of special powers. Daniel is a watcher, and is particularly skilled in hunting out Nephilim, he can even sense when a human woman is pregnant with a Nephilim. Being a watcher has also made him extremely observant and intuitive to the nature of humanity.
Weaknesses: Angel blades, Enochian wards, Holy fire and anything else that can harm an angel. But Daniel also has a personal weakness for humans, meaning he will do anything in his power to protect humanity even if that means killing his own brothers. He has been trained for one particular task for eternity and it is that task he excels at the most, even though he can hold his own in a fight with another angel this is not his strong suit, nor will it ever be. Due to his long time spent on Earth he is also quite distant from his brothers, he finds their paths confusing and sometimes unnecessary, that is why he sees being stuck on Earth as a good thing for his brothers. He is also not as intuitive when it comes to fellow angels, they are too ‘complicated’ and just keeps quiet around other angels unless provoked.
Personality: Unlike most angels, Daniel isn’t centered on a furthering of his own power, or that of his brothers. He knows that it was his duty to protect humanity, and that duty he will uphold, no matter what. Also, unlike most angels, he feels that time on Earth will be beneficial to his brothers in the fact that it will teach them once more that they are here to protect humanity and not squabble over who gets control of heaven. Although he can be quiet around most of his brothers, if he is provoked he will fight for what he believes in, even if that does mean killing one of his own.
When it comes to humanity, Daniel has a fondness for them, like a gardener with his prized plants, so he treats them with care and a protective mind. There have only been a few cases where he has become so angry with a human to the point of killing them, and that was when a mother had gotten in the way to protect her Nephilim child, he cut the mother down without batting an eye. But that was a rare case. He is also a firm believer in letting Castiel lead, even if the word on the wire is that the former angel is human. He feels that the former angel has been through the trials and tribulations and knows the true path that his brothers belong on. He believes this to the extent that Daniel is willing to fight for Castiel.
Quiet and determined, Daniel is driven by his own set of goals and beliefs and will do all he can to make sure that they are completed.
Family and Contacts...
"I realize that the only way we've made it through all this is by hanging together."
Siblings: Any Angel he will consider to be brother, even those that bring harm to humanity for no reason at all [None]
Important others: Castiel, the Human Race [None]
Character History...
"I was gonna say you look like you'd seen a ghost, but you'd probably be stoked."
As the war heaven became nothing more than just some sickening power play, Daniel remained on Earth, watching humanity grow from a race that appreciated beauty over violence to one that just longed for violence. It was heartbreaking for him, he had held humans in such regard, and like many of his brothers before him he began to lose faith in humanity. Still he remained at his post, even as the lights of the Roman age fell dark and the world plunged into darkness, his brothers like many humans of this age fell to their own sins and there was a rash in the creation of Nephilim. It was with the warm blood of the unholy offspring still coating his blade, that Daniel felt at home once more and any doubt that he had once possessed was washed away in that murderous spree in the Dark Ages.
Time passed as it always does, bringing changes to humanity and even his brothers. The wars in heaven seemed to come to a stale-mate upon the arrival of the new millennium, Daniel was called home due to a lack of Nephilim, it was once back home that he learned of what was planned. Throughout the whole ordeal he was confined to heaven watching as his brothers moved to rip the world apart, he saw for the first time in a long time that his brothers were united in one goal and the in fighting had been erased…But than Michael was pulled into the pit with Lucifer and the civil wars began once more. Still confined in Heaven, Daniel instantly sided with Castiel in the war that would begin finding his cause more pure that that of Raphael and his host. The war escalated and eventually Castiel went mad with the power of the souls, but Daniel did not judge him an enemy as so many other of his brothers did, Daniel still found his cause just and knew that Castiel did what was needed to be done.
It was only through whispers that he learned that Castiel was alive and fighting once more with the two humans he seemed to have a liking for. He was able to stay out of Naomi’s grasp by remaining hidden in heaven, although there were more than a few close calls…And than the fall happened. The first thing that Daniel can remember was the blinding light of his own wings burning up as if ignited by hellfire, and than he was on Earth, searching for a vessel to contain him. He found one in a solitary academic ironically named Daniel. Since the fall he has been wandering the Earth searching for Castiel who he learned was human. Daniel supported him once before, and he will support him now, even if that means his own life.
OOC Information...
"Well, no visible signs of douchery, I'll give you that."
Name: Rosie
RP experience: Long time
Other Characters: Abaddon
RP Sample: With her loyal lap dog dealing with cleaning up with the pile of ash that the crossroads demon was now, Abaddon was getting restless. There hadn’t been one single sign of that little squirmy demon that had once considered himself to be the king ever since she had been singed by the Winchester in that abandoned church. If anything was going to seal her succession of the throne of Hell, it would be putting Crowley’s head on a pike right on the gates of Hell themselves. That was the kind of Hell she was going to create, one where the demons were the soldiers of chaos and death that they were meant to be, and give them a Queen that was every bit the conquering warrior that could final defeat human-kind and angels in one fell swoop. And all she needed was to get close enough to that pompous bastard to dig her claws into his face and rip his head right off…
Sliding her hands into her leather jacket she stalked out of the edge of the alley. The two brick buildings on either side were old vestiges of a time when humans still believed in building with rock instead of steel, and thankfully for Abaddon, were uninhabited. But that didn’t mean that there was a lack of human activity around, a lone car had passed through the street, lighting her in stark white light for a few brief moments and only making that bright red hair stand out more like fire around her pale face. That was when she let those pale blue eyes of her meat suit scan the park across the street…And that’s when she saw him.
One lone man was in that park, and even that was enough to put a smile on her face. This man might be enough to wash out the taste of failure that’s come with not being able to find Crowley…She waited for a truck to pass in front of her before teleporting over to about 15 feet behind the bench he was sitting on. From out of the shadows she strolled out unto the path, until she got a couple of feet behind him she smiled, “Beautiful night for it, isn’t it?”
Even with being completely covered in black, she made her voice sound pleasant enough, friendly even. When she got even to the bench the man was sitting on, she slipped her hands out of the pockets of her leather jacket and crosses her arms, “A bit chilly though, but I can’t resist a nice walk out at night…” She smiles over to him, flipping on the kind of charm that she learned from inhabiting her meat suit’s mind, “I’m Abby by the way, and if you don’t mind, would you like to go for a little walk with me?”
She just kept smiling that viper’s smile at him, hiding that malicious chaos that usually swims around in her eyes behind veiled innocence…
