His goal in life is to live every moment without regret and the least amount of stress. Most would say he is happy-go-lucky and a go-getter. He goes head first into all of his jobs, and makes sure no stone is left unturned. He takes the time to laugh at a joke, and enjoy all the little things life has to offer without shame. He knows all the slang and uses it, sometimes awkwardly, and is a gentleman among gentlemen.
He's homely and gives as many hugs as he can, even if they've only known each other for a short time. His life as a hunter is brutal, but rewarding. He keeps his head up when things are bad, and maintains a good attitude on life and it's meaning. He sometimes doesn't know when to tone his joking nature down, and may miss vital information while he is on the job. His awkward charm grows on you, and slowly creeps into your heart.

Character History...
"I was gonna say you look like you'd seen a ghost, but you'd probably be stoked."
Garth Fitzgerald IV is a gangly hunter with an enormous amount of luck. He started out with a normal life, which included high school and college. After dentistry school, he became a dentist and carried on until a run in with the Tooth Fairy. In his struggle against the Tooth Fairy, he ended up killing it. This is the moment where his life changed forever. He delved into the supernatural side of the world, and eventually found the world of hunters.
He paired off with some hunters now and again to get a better understanding of how to hunt all different kinds of monsters. After his first kill, and saving a single mother with children from certain death by a vengeful spirit, he knew that this was his true calling. Most of the hunters ridiculed Garth for his easy going nature, but he didn't think much of it. It happened all of the time. Down the road, he found a superior to look up to and felt welcomed by. Bobby Singer was well organized and had a lot of research at his disposal. Bobby was the best mentor he could ever hope for. Eventually, he was capable of handling his own cases alone.
One day, Bobby called him to help a fellow hunter named Dean Winchester. They dealt with a crossroads demon collecting early, which he mostly missed. They became good acquaintances and worked on a special vengeful ghost case a few months later. He became a good friend of the Winchester brothers by the end of the case.
Bobby died later on in the year and when Garth first heard, he was devastated. He had only worked on a Rugaru case a few months ago with him. He was lost for a time, working jobs but felt a sort of void in his heart. He was called upon by a hunter he had worked with in the past and Garth had talked him through how to kill a Djinn. After he hung up the phone he felt better, remembering how Bobby had helped him the same way. He developed the idea that he could pick up where Bobby had left off, using the knowledge that Bobby had taught him. The Winchester brothers had bumped into him while on a case, where he defused a tense brotherly fight brought upon a haunted coin. They had some trouble with taking up Bobby's mantle but they ended up being okay with it in the end. They later called upon Garth to hide a mother and son, The Trans, prophet of the Lord. Occasionally, he calls on Sam and Dean via GPS to take on cases near to them.

The hot tub bubbled calmingly around Garth's slumped shoulders as he sighed contently and closed his eyes. Another day's work had gone well, and he recalled the day's events as he relaxed in the warm water. It was a ghost case, which were a fairly common occurrence no matter what part of the country you were in. This particular case involved a man who had brutally murdered his cheating wife. The house where his spirit was bound, was one he had built from the ground up. After the murder, he had killed himself, and his body was cremated. Garth had noticed a pattern of killings in the same house over a short period of time after two young couples had moved in. A couple had just moved in a week ago with two young children, when he decided to make his house call. Upon arrival he could tell something was up, so he grabbed his rock salt shotgun. He walked through the unlocked front door and heard screaming. Taking off in the direction of the woman's scream he raised his gun and locked onto the spirit about to rip into the mother. The ghost violently disappeared and he was able to usher the woman and children out of the house, the woman had said her husband was killed.
Garth grabbed his gasoline can in the backseat of his car and sized up the house. Without much planning he reloaded his shotgun and ran inside to the other side of the house. He started trailing a line of gasoline along the floor behind him as he made his way to the front door again. Of course the spirit appeared and he blasted his way through. Making it out in a haste, he stepped away from the line of gasoline and lit it on fire. He figured the house itself was what he was attached to, and it needed to go. Making sure the woman and kids were okay, he explained that the house needed to completely burn or else the ghost could come back. He waited with them until nothing remained, and told them to call the police. He returned to his hotel room after the long night and started up the hot tub.
He opened his eyes sharply at the sound of one of his phones ringing. He pouted.
"Balls!" He stepped out of the wonderful tub of warmth and wrapped a towel around his waist. He fumbled through his jacket and found the ringing phone, answering it promptly.
"Oh, hey Dean! Oh, no. I was just relaxing in the hot tub. What's up?"
